Spain sucks

Don’t ever consider to go to Spain. Spain sucks big time..

Ok, ok the headline and intro was mostly for the effect. Even though there is a bit of truth in it. Seen from a traffical point of view Spain is Hell - and it won’t ring its bells before hitting you hard (thanks to ACDC for that abstraction)

Jens Hilligsoe crashed two times allready and now that he must have used up his quota I wonder what is in store for me.

What is wrong with Spain is a total lack of understanding of road safety and comfort. Some considerations:

The map we use have all the roads numbered but those numbers does not reflect the numbers on road signs. Not at all. Planning a route in Spain is impossible without a compass. We brought one and that is why we are now in granada and not f#¤%& Irkutsk in the middle of the Russian Tajka.

Stupid placement of signs. When driving in the mountains the sign for “multiple turns” sometimes shows up, sometimes not. After hours driving in mountains on roads that swings harder than the stupidity of ways EU-subsidaries are spent in southern Spain you’ll find a sign saying that the road probably will turn some within the next 200 meters.

big bad deal1

Too many tourist that can rent too many scooters.

Too many people in too many cars going in the wrong directions trying to avoid donkeys, kids, road signs, tourists on scooters, the burning sun and serius road travellers with a compass.

Southern Spain is cool by the way .-)

We have now had a few comments regarding the degree of how much Spain sux, and how much we should be saying that it does. So to make it perfectly clear:

The post above is pebbered with something we call irony around here. We do not think that Spain sux, but we do think that a couple of conserned citizens should take a rest before getting all hyped up about something they don’t seem to understand (That would be irony again).

  9. Americano says:

Spain is the most beautiful country I have visited. It is beautiful, but the citizens are generally idiots without individuality, they try to be like Americans. My trip to Spain last summer made me see the beautiful architecture the Moors built, the breath-taking nature that god has given Spaniards. While traveling through customs to Africa, I an American citizen, was pushed, out of the Customs station pulled, grabbed at and chased and my sick (Spastisty, his muscles on his complete left side spasm because of a stroke) older father was pushed to the floor by Spanish Customs agents, literally four or five ganged up on him to throw him down. When I came back with a woman who was bilingual, they told her the Capitan was “not here” when she asked to speak to him. Spaniards are rascist assholes, generally, of course.
